Innovation is in our DNA. Innovation is how an entire company grew after one single question at a dinner party and it’s how the hybrid container was born.
“Can you build a pharma container that maintains +2°C to +8°C at more than +60°C on the tarmac in Saudi Arabia?”, asked a supply chain manager after hearing from Nico Ros (CTO) and Richard Ettl (CEO) about a new insulation material.
That single question led to the conception of a 100% recyclable insulation which would insulate vulnerable medicines even in extreme conditions.
Years later, hybrid containers are revolutionizing how the pharmaceutical industry transports medicine. With high amounts of medical and packaging waste littering our planet, and failing to reach patients in need, the hybrid answered the pharmaceutical industry’s calls for a reliable way to meet medical supply and demand, sustainably.
Now with integrated IoT tracking technology and superior hardware, SkyCell’s solution sets the standard on audited reliability with less than 0.1% temperature excursions.
Today, Nico Ros and Richard Ettl believe the long-term goal is to enable the shipment of a single dose of customized medication from the manufacturing site directly to the patient – always at a controlled temperature. With this in mind, SkyCell continues to advance progress towards zero loss in the supply chain, worldwide.
